The Symposium on Small Satellite Systems and Services, also known as the "4S Symposium", is held at the Palma Congress Center from 27 to 31 May.
The event, jointly organized by the European Space Agency and the French Centre Nationale d’Étudies Spatiales, is attracting more than 600 participants representing major Institutions and Companies in the field of Aerospace numerous delegates of the National Space Agencies will attend, among which NASA, and the Japanese JAXA.
The event will also host a hardware exhibit with 65 companies showcasing their latest advancements. A trademark of the event is the numerous networking opportunities where innovative ideas will spur the advanced Space programmes of the future.
This year’s theme is Space Transformation. New key technologies and applications will be presented and discussed, such as Earth observation, telecommunication and navigation. A special session will be dedicated to small satellites access to space – as tiny as a milk box-, addressing launchers, in-orbit transfer vehicles and platform cross-compatibility.
Kicking off on Friday, October 30, the 13th EMIFF will begin with an opening gala at Palma's Teatre Principal.
