The most important international film industry event in Mallorca returns this year from October 18 to 24 to celebrate its 12th edition.

The MIFF has established itself as one of the fastest growing film festivals in Europe, having received numerous awards throughout its history, such as that of the specialized magazine MovieMaker, which ranks it as one of the "20 essential international film festivals" around the world.

Since its first edition in 2012, the festival has screened more than 1,100 films from 42 nationalities, including 550 premieres, with more than 20,000 live attendees, as well as more than 300 panels. In addition, year after year it has been hosting international actors and first-class filmmakers, such as Ana de Armas, Nastasskja Kinski, Ruben Östlund, Ed Lachman, Laia Costa, Pilou Asbæk, Win Wders, Danny DeVito, Ángela Molina or Marisa Paredes.

Now in its 12th year, Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival, stays true to its mission; BRIDGING CULTURES - BRIDGING PEOPLE via international film to shape a creative community for independent filmmakers to network, be inspired, and thrive in this exciting Mediterranean island paradise.

The Palma Congress Center has hosted the festival's closing ceremony for the last 3 years and will do so again in this edition, thus becoming one of its most loyal collaborators and fulfilling its commitment to supporting culture in the city through of events that, like the MIFF, add so much value to the destination and contribute to its international positioning as a quality destination.
