Nits a Bellver: A Cultural Summer at Bellver Castle
Palma City Council once again breathes life into the majestic Bellver Castle with its cultural initiative "Nits a Bellver." This summer-long program brings together a vibrant array of artistic, musical, and theatrical events for everyone to enjoy.
August is particularly exciting, highlighted by the Palma Jazz Festival, which energizes Thursday nights with top-tier jazz performances. Following the captivating shows by Andrea Motis and Richard Bona & Alfredo Rodríguez Trío, audiences can still look forward to the performances of Rita Payés & Xavi Torres on August 15 and Marco Mezquida Trío on August 22.
Dance enthusiasts will also be treated to the Gala de Dansa on August 20, featuring talented Mallorcan dancers who have made their mark in prestigious international companies.
In the realm of theater, "Nits a Bellver" celebrates the 40th anniversary of Teatre Sans with a performance of the renowned play La cantant calba by Estudi Zero on August 9. To close out the month, Los bandos de Verona, a play by the esteemed Spanish playwright Francisco de Rojas Zorrilla, will be staged on August 30.
This is a unique opportunity to experience art in one of Palma’s most iconic settings.
