The Palau de Congressos de Palma has been the setting, for yet another year, for the TaPalma 2022 tapas and a cocktail competition. This an edition in which we have once again opened our doors to gastronomy and have once again opted for the promotion of local produce, one of our city's best ambassadors for attracting visitors, both national and foreign, at this time of year.
The winner of this year's edition was the chef Tito Verger, from the Rosa del Mar restaurant, who won the TaPalma de Oro for the second year running for his creation "Pulguita de Otoño". In the Themed Tapa category, with Sobrassada de Mallorca, chef Andrés Moreno's restaurant Los Maños won gold with its Sobrassada Panellet. As for the cocktail competition, the winner of the Gold Cocktail was Maygret Molina from Weyler Bonaire for her cocktail "La Manzana de Ortiz", making her the first woman to win gold in TaPalma.
The director of Melià Palma Bay, representing the Palau de Congressos de Palma, Juan Antonio Tarragó, was present at the competition on Monday 21st November, and said that hosting TaPalma once again "is an honor". Tarragó congratulated the sector's professionals and affirmed that the event is key to making them known. "TaPalma makes the city a more attractive place".
All the tapas and cocktails participating in TaPalma 2022 could be tasted on the route, which began on Wednesday 23rd November until yesterday, Sunday 27th November, and in which a total of 46 establishments took part.In addition, as part of the TaPalma events, the Palau de Congressos hosted a top-level gastronomy forum, which became a meeting point with conferences and round tables in which experts debated the present and future of gastronomy, catering, and hospitality on a regional and national scale.
