Over 1,000 Urologists Gather in Palma de Mallorca to Discuss the Future of Their Specialty
The LXXXVII National Urology Congress took place from June 12 to 14 at the Palma Congress Centre. This year's event set a record in the history of Medical-Surgical specialties in Spain, underscoring the longstanding tradition of the Spanish Urology Association, which dates back to 1911.
The Congress featured a robust lineup of national and international speakers who presented on various aspects of urological diagnosis, as well as medical and surgical treatments for a range of urological conditions. The event drew over 1,000 registered participants and included the active participation of pharmaceutical and technology companies, which showcased the latest advancements in urology through parallel sessions designed to enhance attendees' training.
Key topics at the Congress included urinary incontinence, andrology, transplantation, lithiasis, and the latest developments in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. A significant focus was placed on oncological urology, a field that has seen substantial advancements in recent years.
