The Palma Congress Center and Porto Pi Centro (Merlin Properties) made it possible for a group of 45 young people in situation of social vulnerability, linked to the Mallorca Integra Foundation, to have the opportunity to enjoy a leisure activity, inviting them to the cinema to see the movie “A todo tren 2”, one of the most successful family movies currently on the billboard.
The Mallorca Integra Foundation aims to improve the conditions and quality of life of people at risk of social exclusion, promoting their integration through sports, leisure or training.
For the Palma Congress Center, one essential strategy within its responsible management model is to add social value to the destination by supporting social entities such as Mallorca Integra. As expressed by its general manager, Ramón Vidal, ““we understand that leisure activities are also a key lever for social integration. In addition, having the commitment and support of the Porto Pi team in this initiative has been a guarantee of success, since we share a true vocation of support for the destination and society”.
Aurora Sampol, director of Mallorca Integra, has pointed out that "the support of socially sensitive companies, which are involved with our entity and projects, helps us to be closer to fulfilling our mission and objectives".
From June 4 to 9, The Palma Convention Center will be transformed into a space for sustainability in the aquatic environment with this congress titled Resilience and Recovery in Aquatic Systems.
The most important international film industry event in Mallorca returns this year from October 18 to 24 to celebrate its 12th edition.
The city of Palma is the result of centuries of history marked by the different cultures that inhabited the city. One of them, which had an important political and economic weight on the island, was precisely the Jewish community.
