Mallorca Convention Bureau awards the "Ambassadors of Mallorca 2023"

The Mallorca Convention Bureau (MCB) awarded the "Ambassadors of Mallorca 2023" prizes last Tuesday, recognizing nine individuals who have promoted the island as a prominent destination for conferences and major events over the past year, thus strengthening its position as a leading MICE destination.

Natalia Seoane, president of the Mallorca Convention Bureau and general manager of the Palma Convention Center, expressed gratitude for the effort and leadership of the awardees in attracting such important events, highlighting their influence on the international promotion of Mallorca and their contribution to the island's economic and social impact. "Their work has been key to driving wealth, innovation, and knowledge generation," Seoane affirmed.

Among this year's honorees is Mr. Patrick Posadas Hermann of KP The Agency, for spearheading the organization of an international automotive event during the low season, which attracted over 12,000 attendees during the first quarter of the year. The rest of the recognitions were linked to scientific and medical events. Firstly, Dr. Nona Sheila Agawin Romualdo from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) for organizing the largest scientific gathering of 2023, the international congress ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting, with 2,300 participants from 70 countries. Dr. María Caimari Jaume was recognized for organizing the 45th SEEP Congress (Spanish Society of Pediatric Endocrinology). Dr. Mercedes Escarrer Jaume was honored for the 47th SEICAP Congress (Spanish Society of Clinical Immunology, Allergology, and Pediatric Asthma). Dr. Joan Figuerola Mulet received recognition for the 44th SENP Congress (Spanish Society of Pediatric Pulmonology). Dr. José Manuel Miralles López was honored for the 34th GEDET Meeting (Spanish Group of Aesthetic and Therapeutic Dermatology of the AEDV). Dr. Isabel Sampedro Álvarez was acknowledged for the 21st FAME Congress (Spanish Federation of Midwives) and the 2nd ABC Congress (Balearic Association of Comares). Dr. Gonzalo Gómez Marqués was recognized for the 53rd SEN Congress (Spanish Society of Nephrology). Finally, Dr. Rafael Trinchant was honored for the 12th ASEBIR Congress (Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology).

The award ceremony took place at Casa Esment in Palma, with the presence of the Consellera de Salut of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Manuela García Romero; the Conseller de Turisme, Marcial Rodríguez; the General Coordinator of Tourism of the City Council of Palma, Victoria Mulet; as well as the President of the Mallorca Convention Bureau and general manager of the Palma Convention Center, Natalia Seoane.
