"We are great strangers if we compare ourselves with other destinations, but Mallorca is a jewel that we have not yet put on the map." With these words Ramón Vidal, president of the Mallorca Convention Bureau and general manager of the Palma Congress Center, participated at the round table "MICE Trends and Figures in Mallorca" during the third edition of Mallorca Loves MICE, an initiative of Pidelaluna Events agency, co-organized by the Palma Congress Center, Meeting Professionals International (MPI Iberian Chapter) and the Mallorca Convention Bureau, which gathered almost 250 professionals last December.
Some of the most commented issues were the main MICE trends in Mallorca, as well as global trends, new technologies or sustainability.
In addition, the need to work together, public and private sector, with all stakeholders to position Mallorca as a MICE destination, define a “city brand” for Palma and improve the professionals training was also emphasized.
From June 4 to 9, The Palma Convention Center will be transformed into a space for sustainability in the aquatic environment with this congress titled Resilience and Recovery in Aquatic Systems.
The most important international film industry event in Mallorca returns this year from October 18 to 24 to celebrate its 12th edition.
The city of Palma is the result of centuries of history marked by the different cultures that inhabited the city. One of them, which had an important political and economic weight on the island, was precisely the Jewish community.
