The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has announced that its annual 2024 awards ceremony will take place in Palma de Mallorca on Saturday, December 7th. This event will not only honor all the 2024 FIM World Champions but also commemorate the FIM's 120th anniversary. Various activities are planned over the weekend, including visits to the Rafa Nadal Academy and RCD Mallorca.
The Palma Conference Centre, known for its modern architecture and extensive facilities, will serve as the setting for this year's FIM Awards. Additionally, the Parc de la Mar, located beneath the cathedral of Palma, is expected to act as a 'hospitality' area. Here, world champions will engage with fans, creating a pleasant and memorable environment.
On Friday, December 6th, the Palau de Congressos will also host the FIM General Assembly. Representatives from numerous national federations worldwide will convene to vote and define the upcoming year's motorcycling strategy.
FIM President Jorge Viegas commented, "With such a long and successful relationship with the sport of motorcycling, which has produced countless FIM World Champions over the years, Spain is an ideal host nation for the 2024 FIM Awards Ceremony. And could there be a more beautiful place than the city of Palma on the Balearic island of Mallorca to celebrate another fantastic year of FIM competition?"
A Magical Night to Welcome 2025
