The Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH) held the 63rd edition of its National Congress at the Palau de Congressos de Palma, an event in which more than 1,400 national and international congressmen could participate in more than 250 presentations in conference format, round tables, talks and workshops.
The opening of the Palau de Congressos, with its extensive infrastructure and capacity, has been key to allowing this great event to return to Palma 24 years after its last call in the city. Dr. Pere Ventayol, president of the Organizing Committee, highlighted "the importance of organizing this congress, a firm commitment so that the most relevant scientific event of our society constitutes a unique experience in a newly opened congress palace ".
The President of the SEFH, Dr. Miguel Ángel Calleja, highlighted the work carried out by the FH team working in the Balearic Islands, for their creativity and innovation capacity, since it has been especially striking the different initiatives developed, complementing the traditional structure of the congress, such as the design of an app that, among other functions, included a step counter with healthy challenges, and bicycle transfers for attendees, who could travel in this way between their hotels and the convention center. The bicycle transfer service is offered by the Palau de Congressos in order to promote sustainable mobility in the city.
This year's motto was "Health moves us", expressing the will of the SEFH to "work for the promotion of health, expanding the field of classic action - more focused on medicine - to also address the prevention and working beyond the hospital”.
