The Illes Balears Auditorium has 1,966 seats and is the biggest auditorium at the Palma Convention Centre and an outstanding venue for the MICE segment and major cultural events. With a separate street-level entrance, the auditorium has a registration and cloakroom area, two ground floor entrances and access to the seating area on each of its three floors.
The large halls located on each floor allow easy access and mobility during event breaks. Large multi-purpose spaces are ideal for a cocktail, a coffee break or a poster area. The halls are connected by stairs, lifts and escalators, and there is also a lift to the underground car park, making the auditorium an accessible space for people with reduced mobility.
The design of the auditorium features aluminium and wood, giving it a contemporary image which also allows the easy integration of branding items for events held in this convention space in Palma de Mallorca.
The auditorium also offers superior quality acoustics thanks to the renowned Higini Arau studio, whose careful analysis and design of the spaces deliver the finest quality sound. A removable acoustic shell has been installed over the 200m2 stage, specially designed for concerts or shows where the acoustics are even more important.
The Illes Balears Auditorium provides a technical production booth and two simultaneous translation booths, as well as professional technical assistance from a national wellknown company that also supplies the finest lighting, video and sound equipment. This space for congresses and cultural events in Palma de Mallorca also provides two dressing rooms on the first floor with a mirror, mobile clothes rack and bathroom, ideal for artists to adjust their costumes and make-up before going on stage. The first floor is also home to a first aid room with a nursing service.
The auditorium stage measures more than 200m2 and is connected to the exterior of the Palma Convention Centre through a mobile rear walkway, allowing very bulky materials to be brought into the auditorium.
The third floor of the auditorium can be divided up by mobile panels to create an amphitheatre with capacity for up to 500 people.
The space has been carefully designed to ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
Access to the auditorium hall from the car park of Palma Convention Centre.
