The Palau de Congressos’ hotel is strengthening the application of sustainability in business operations, and has now received EarthCheck certification.
Certifications in Sustainable Tourism are a way of proving, through an independent expert, that hotels have a quality sustainability program that benefits the community socially, economically and environmentally.
EarthCheck is one of the world’s leading sustainable tourism certification programmes, and Meliá Hotels International – managing company of the Palau - signed a global agreement in 2012 to implement its environmental management model.
This certification provides the hotel with a valuable management and reporting tool and it implies a commitment to continuous improvement.
To ensure compliance with these commitments, the hotel has developed a Sustainability Policy and a specific Action Plan, an Environmental Management Manual and a Waste Management Plan, among others.
April at the Palau de Congressos is setting the stage for what's to be an exceptionally bustling season of congresses.
The European Conference on Interventional Oncology – ECIO 2024 – will take place from April 28-May 1 in Palma de Mallorca, providing a comprehensive, interdisciplinary platform for the discussion of state-of-the-art minimally invasive cancer care.
With over 450 attendees, the Palau de Congressos de Palma hosted the Aedemo TV 2024 event, an annual gathering and benchmark for professionals in the television industry.
